What is the dress code for Dinner Church?

Dinner Church is come as you are.  There is no dress code.  Some people are coming directly from work, so they are wearing whatever they wear on the job. Others are coming from home and are in casual, relaxed clothes like sweats or jeans.  

What is the cost for the meal at Dinner Church?

There is no cost.  It is a free meal with no obligation on your part.  The members of Dinner Church volunteer to shop, cook and serve for the meals.  You may notice a donation box at Dinner Church which is for members to bring their donations to the Church.  Anyone is welcome, but not required to donate to the ongoing work of the Church in this way.

Who makes the meals for Dinner Church?

The meals are made by members and volunteers connected with Dinner Church.  The funds are provided by the ongoing work and budget of Dinner Church.  The friendship and community we hope to build often comes through working together to prepare meals, so you are invited to help with the preparation of meals.  Let us know if you would like to help in this way with the contact form on this site.

Is there child care at Dinner Church?

Our hope is to create an environment at Dinner Church that is family friendly, encouraging families to sit together and engage in this kind of community and worship as a family.   At this time there is no separate child care, but we envision a family environment where other guests can assist help families with children engage in Dinner Church. As more families join us around the table, we envision setting up separate children's tables to help engage children at an age appropriate level.

Do I Need to Bring Food to Dinner Church?

No. The food is provided and prepared by volunteers and members of Dinner Church.  It is organized on a weekly basis by a volunteer leader. 

Who Sponsors Dinner Church?

Dinner Church is a Church experience sponsored by First Baptist Church of Exeter.  You can find out more information about the Church at www.fbcexeter.com

Can I volunteer to help out with Dinner Church?
